I am both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in San Antonio. I graduated from Baylor University in 1998 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and St. Mary’s University in 2000 with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Clinical Fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (www.aamft.org). I began seeing clients in 2000 and spent the better part of 10 years working with individuals and families in an inpatient setting. I found a passion in those years of experience working with adult and older adult individuals, couples, and their families regarding issues such as grief, aging, major life transitions, caregiver stress, marital problems, coping with chronic pain or illness, depression, anxiety, stress, and PTSD symptoms (particularly r/t to military deployment). I am also interested in working with couples and individuals seeking premarital counseling, marital enhancement, and support during transitions during and after divorce.
On a personal note, I’ve been married to Nick (also a therapist) since 2003 and have 2 fun and spunky kids that fill our lives with love and laughter. I have no doubt that my roles of daughter, wife, and mother have enhanced my abilities in my work with individuals, couples, and families.
