Using Gottman Method principles, I have designed an 8-session premarital counseling program for couples planning to get married where we will discuss trust, money, sex, family, dreams, and other vital topics.
For couples who are unsure about the future of their relationship, I facilitate a special process called discernment counseling. This is helpful when one couple wants to continue working on the relationship while the other wants to separate or divorce. Discernment counseling is a structured, short-term program that aims to assist the couple in making the best decision for them.
In all my sessions, I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to talk about whatever is on your mind. I will respond with unconditional empathy and validation. I will empower you to explore your strengths, find solutions to your struggles, and discover new ways of thinking about your life. I will also gently challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and offer accountability as you work towards your goals.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, and my Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Rhetoric from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
