Camila Flores MA LMFT-Associate

camila flores Supervised by Becky Davenport, Ph.D, LMFT-S

I completed my Master’s in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas State University in 2023. Previously, I completed my BA in Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Development at Texas State University as well. I am particularly passionate about working with the Latinx community as I feel a strong connection to my roots. I have experience working with individuals experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, and relational issues.

I practice with a focus in couples work, grief work, individual self and relational work, and play therapy with children. I also provide therapy services in Spanish.

I hold true that humans are multidimensional beings who are molded by biological, psychological, relational, cultural, and spiritual experiences. I believe that each individual has the potential to create change in their own lives, sometimes all it takes is a safe and empowering relationship to encourage it.

We could be a match if you are experiencing relational distress with family members, partners, or others in your life and are looking to gain insight and tools to create deeper understanding and positive change. In addition, if you seek support in understanding, setting, maintaining, and respecting boundaries, we could do some great work together.

I firmly believe that the therapeutic process is a collaborative one. It is one which involves team work between therapist and client(s) to meet set  goals. Along with teamwork, I believe another necessary component for effective therapy is the bond between therapist and client. I strive to provide a safe and honest space for my clients in which they feel that they can explore themselves while being challenged to grow.

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I am both a food-lover and health & fitness enthusiast. I cherish time spent in nature, cooking and enjoying meals with my loved ones, curling up with a good book, and dancing as often as possible.
