I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor and a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Supervisor. I specialize in couple and relationship issues including communication problems, affair recovery, parenting and co-parenting, sex, and more. My goal is not to tell you how to live your life or what decision to make, but to help you identify and remove the blocks that make it hard for you and your partner to make these decisions together. I received my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Abilene Christian University in 2004 and my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University in 2008. I am a former president of the San Antonio Emotionally Focused Therapy Community, now the Central Texas Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy.

I am a member of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. Though I specialize in working with couples, I also see individual adults for many problems, including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, and life transitions.

I have been married to Kirsten since 2004 and we have two incredible kids. When I am not spending time with them, I enjoy hiking, Dungeons and Dragons, comedians, live music, movies, camping, sci-fi, and a good beach or mountain to get away.
