tania Coming to therapy takes courage, I honor this first step that you have taken. Together we will set and clarify your goals, explore different paths and further your understanding of yourself. Whether you are looking for relationship help or individual therapy, I am ready to walk along side you and uncover your inner strengths and provide guidance to create lasting change and connection.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of San Diego in 2004, and received my Master of Science degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2007. I have provided therapy to Individuals, Families, Couples as well as in group settings, outpatient substance abuse centers, domestic violence shelter, and in church counseling services. I have experience working with clients that want to address issues like anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, infidelity, life transitions, relationship issues, grief and trauma. I have been in the field for over 6 years.

I use a variation of therapeutic skills including Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and Emotionally Focused Individual therapy. I have also received training in Discernment Counseling for Couples and New Ways for Families. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and use Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work with couples. Being bilingual I am able to provide therapy services in both English and Spanish.

I have been married to my husband since 2006, and we have three amazing kids that keep us pretty busy. In my free time I’m content with a good book & coffee, catching up on tv shows, and fitting in a workout routine.
