I am currently practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-Associate), under the supervision of Becky Davenport, Ph.D., LMFT-S. Although my current license status is as an LMFT-Associate, I bring over 25 years of clinical experience and 10 years of experience as an educator to my current practice. I began working as a licensed psychotherapist in my home country of Ecuador in 1999, and have felt passionate since that time to work with individuals, couples and families from various backgrounds and with a wide range of needs. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and couples of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship formats. My approach is holistic, integrating all aspects that shape a person's identity: emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual. My therapeutic approach is a combination of humanistic-experiential and systemic therapies, which include Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I grew up in a multi-cultural setting, living in multiple countries and learning different languages. I bring these experiences into my clinical practice through a genuine curiosity to learn about each client and their unique backgrounds. I have learned there is one universal truth for people- we seek connection and understanding for ourselves in our most significant relationships. I provide therapy services in English and Spanish, but am also fluent in German and studied French and Italian as an exchange student as well.

I moved with my military family to Texas in 2009, but have maintained my clinical practice virtually in Ecuador. After 10 years working in education, I returned full time to my passion of therapy and began pursuing clinical licensure in Texas. I completed my Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), and subsequently obtained my license as a LMFT-Associate. I also obtained a certification from OLLU for Psychological Services for Spanish-Speaking Populations (PSSP).

In addition, I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and a Master's degree in Sexology from Bircham International University Madrid (BIU-Madrid). I have been certified by the American Board of Sexology (https://americanboardofsexology.org/25622) as a Diplomat since 2024. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Sexology from BIU-Madrid.

Outside of my professional practice, I love animals and nature, and I truly enjoy spending time with my family. I also very much like outdoor activities, and exercise and meditation are an integral part of my daily life. I have a passion for learning languages and traveling the world.
