As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families understand the powerful link between emotional wellbeing, relational health and mind-brain connection. My clinical work is informed by over 12 years of experience in psychological research and collaboration with medical professionals in psychiatry and neuroscience. This foundation allows me to integrate leading research with clinical expertise, helping individuals and families access meaningful and lasting change.
My approach is grounded in the understanding that the brain is capable of change and so are our patterns, habits, and relationships. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, or parenting challenges, we will work together to build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and rewire pathways that no longer serve you.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process rooted in compassion and guided by science. At the core of this work is resilience, not just bouncing back, but building forward. Together we will cultivate the mental and emotional flexibility needed to face life’s challenges with clarity, strength and self-compassion.
While I am trained in a range of general therapeutic approaches, I have specialized training in:
Perinatal Mental Health (PMH), supporting parents through pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood.
Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), strengthening parent-child relationships through live coaching that help improve connection, communication and behavior.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), helping children, teens and families process difficult experiences and build resilience.
Prepare Enrich, a (pre)marital assessment tool that uses evidence-based skills and insights to foster healthy marriages.
Love and Logic, providing parents with tools to set healthy boundaries with empathy, and reducing power struggles.
I have publications in The Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychiatric Neuroscience and Therapeutics and the San Antonio Medicine magazine.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, cooking, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
