My hope is to offer clients a safe place to feel seen and heard in order for true healing to occur. My goal is to support teens and children through the unique emotional, social, and developmental challenges they face, while also helping parents navigate the complexities of understanding their children. Overall, my goal is to meet clients where they are, incorporate their interests into sessions, and create an environment that feels engaging, collaborative, and empowering. I work to help clients build coping mechanisms, process their emotions, and heal from past experiences. I also offer faith-based counseling for clients who wish to integrate spirituality into their therapeutic work, creating a respectful, open space for faith, questions, and doubts.
I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Global Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Since earning my master’s degree, I have trained under supervision in a group practice for two years and in private practice for two years with a primary focus on children and adolescents. I am passionate about continuing to grow in this field and look forward to many more years helping kids and their families as they navigate life’s challenges.
While my primary focus is working with children and teens, I also enjoy guiding young adults as they adjust to new responsibilities or exploring future goals. I strive to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and interests, ensuring sessions feel relevant and meaningful. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered, with an emphasis on emotional processing, identity development, resilience, and healing. I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels warm, creative, and adaptable to each client’s individual journey.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, and hiking with my two basset hounds, Rosie and Poppy. I value balance, creativity, and connection in my personal life, and I bring that same heart into the work I do with clients and families.
