Play Therapy in San Antonio

Central to child development

Play is a key method of communication and self-expression for children. Children use play in many ways, including to process experiences, developing confidence and social skills, and communicating with adults about hopes and fears. Children are not able to verbally communicate with a therapist in the same ways that adults can, so instead, we allow them to use their primary language of play.

“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”

(Commonly Attributed to Plato)
